After getting divorced in California in 2011, Jennifer Lopez is ready to talk about the dissolution of her marriage.
In a recent interview with People magazine, Lopez said that in the beginning she felt that her whole world was falling apart. Anthony and Lopez had been married for seven years and had two children together. Although this is Lopez’s third divorce, she opened up by saying that it is always very difficult to eventually let go of a marriage. By her side to help her heal after her split from Anthony, Lopez gives credit to her friend, choreographer Casper Smart, who offered his support throughout her difficult California separation and divorce.
Although the couple dissolved their marriage in California, they remain business partners. They continue to work well together, they’ve said, on their talent show, Q'Viva! The Chosen. In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the couple sat down together to show their friendship for each other has not faded. Lopez commented that they laugh a lot together while at work and she is grateful that they are able to remain friends.
Now, Lopez has entered a relationship with Smart, the man who helped her heal after her divorce. Although there is an 18-year age difference, Lopez is optimistic. Although she does not claim to have thought about the possibility of him leaving her for a younger woman, she says that they are enjoying the moment they are in right now.
The California divorce between Anthony and Lopez is still pending. According to Lopez, her children have started to ask questions that have made the divorce even more difficult. She continues to do her best to hold her family together with her children and still move forward to a happier life.
