Brendan Fraser says he is losing money. Although the actor earns more than $200,000 a month, he claims that paying almost $90,000 in alimony and child support is more than he can financially handle.

The 44-year-old star of The Mummy, George of the Jungle, and Crash has asked a Connecticut court to reduce his child support and alimony payments to his ex-wife Afton Smith. According to Fraser, more than half his income goes to his agents. He also pays 50,000 a month for alimony, 25,000 in child support, 34,000 in income tax, 5,000 for mortgage, and more in fees than he earns. According to Fraser, he no longer has enough of an income to justify the support payment.

Ms. Smith disagrees. In February, Smith went to court and accused her ex of hiding more than nine million in new movie contracts during their 2009 divorce. According to Fraser, he had no definite movie deals at the time, so he claimed that he was set to make zero dollars from future acting jobs. Since the divorce, Fraser has been in several films, including Extraordinary Measures, Furry Vengeance, Whole Lotta Sole, and a voice role in Escape from Planet Earth.  Upcoming films include Gimme Shelter, HairBrained, Pawn Shop Chronicles, A Case of You, Split Decision, The Nut Job, and In with the Outlaws.

According to the Post, Smith went to court earlier this month and accused Fraser of "fraud" for reportedly hiding $9 million in new film contracts when they settled their divorce in Feb. 2009. During proceedings, Fraser claimed that he was set to make $0 (zero dollars) from acting in the coming years, later admitting he said that because he had no definite movie deals at the time. But since then, Fraser has made a handful of films, some of which haven't been released yet. Medical issues limit his ability to earn the same amount as he has in the past.

Fraser and Smith were married for ten years. They have three children: Griffin, 10, Holden, 8, and Leland, 6.
