The San Francisco Board of Supervisors will take up a bill in the near future, which would make work place rules more family friendly.

Supervisor David Chiu has introduced a bill to the SF Board of Supervisors that would, if passed, grant parents and/or caregivers a “right to request” a flexible work schedule that could include telecommuting, job sharing, working part time or an adjusted start time. This would be done to allow parents and caregivers to spend more time caring for their families.

Supervisor Chui based this legislation on similar measures in the United Kingdom.
